Shahrukh Khan is fast proving to be the king of cameos. Quite contradictory to the mean(matlabi) image which Salman Khan accused Shahrukh Khan of. Shahrukh Khan has done special appearances in films like I see You, Heyy Babyy, Bhootnath and played sutradhaar in Kismet Konnection. Shahrukh khan will be doing yet another special appearance in Vivek Sharma(Bhoothnath director) directed film Kal Kisne Dekha to be released next year. The movie marks the debut of Jackie Bhagnani, son of producer Vashu Bhagnani. Shahrukh Khan will also be having an extended special appearance in his own film Billoo Barber.

Cameo King-Shahrukh Khan
Makeup man talks about the humility of Shahrukh Khan

"We've known each other for 18 years now. I first met Shah Rukh Khan in 1991. At that time I was working with Rekha. He asked me if I would do his make-up for his film Chamatkar. I have done his make-up ever since,” reminiscences Indulkar. Indulkar is one of Shah Rukh Khan Khan's friends who has been with him through thick and thin. Having seen the star right from his struggling days, Indulkar fondly recalls the simple and humble Shah Rukh Khan he knows.
"During his early days when he was trying to get a foothold in the industry, he used to keep travelling from Bombay to Delhi and back. Sometimes, when he didn't have enough money to travel to Delhi, his secretary Anwar and I used give him money from our daily travelling allowance. Shah Rukh Khan did not own a car then. He would travel in rickshaws, ferries and trains,” fondly recalls Indulkar. “He is very simple at heart and it is heart-warming to see the metamorphosis. He is the biggest star today but he still treats me with the same respect and affection," says Indulkar.
Reminiscing about the old times, Indulkar distinctly remembers one particular incident where Shah Rukh Khan's car was seized. “This was around a decade ago. We were shooting once and people from the bank came to seize Shah Rukh's car. They asked the driver to open the car and at that time, all of his fan mail was stored in the car. They seized the car because, one of his friends had taken a loan on it and hadn't repaid it," recalls Indulkar.
Having been his make-up artist, Indulkar says with a chuckle, “Generally actors take care of their skin a lot, but Shah Rukh Khan doesn't do anything at all. He just washes his face and that's it. I use MAC foundation for him usually because it’s a very good product that takes care of his skin.”
Today, Indulkar is close to SRK's family and travels with him as his on-location make-up artist wherever he goes. “Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana loves make-up. Whenever she comes, she uses all my cosmetics and tries to apply it on her face. She likes her dad only in trousers and a shirt. She doesn't like him wearing kurtas or any other form of clothing. But Aryan loves SRK’s new six-pack and is already dreaming of having his own,” says Indulkar.

Shahrukh Khan quotes
Here are some of the quotes from the wizard of wit, SRK:
"If I talk to a girl, it's assumed that I'm having a scene with her. If I don't, then it's assumed that I'm gay."
"Maybe the country doesn't pray for me like they do for Sachin Tendulkar, but I know I'm on a good wicket as well. "
"Whenever I fail as a father or husband... a toy and a diamond always works."
"Cinema in India is like brushing your teeth in the morning. You can't escape it."
"Recently an actor asked me to teach him how to speak fast. Wasn't I once criticised for speaking too fast? Now they're doing it my way. "
"I work like a retailer. I sell my services, take my money and keep it in the bank."
“I don’t sit around complaining about the lack of good roles. I will play Raj 85 times and still make him different.”
“There are only two Khans. Ghenghis Khan and Shahrukh Khan”
“Maybe the country doesn’t pray for me like they do for Sachin Tendulkar, but I know I’m on a good wicket as well. ”
“I’d die if people didnt recognise me. I would not be able to walk on the road if people didnt mob me. That’s what I work for.”
“When I have the right to make you cry in a dark room for three hours, you have the right to ask me any question you want.”

“Thank you for giving me so much love, that I don’t miss my parents anymore”

“I am very shy. If I am flying British Airways and the airhostess asks me two questions, and I don’t understand her accent - I will go hungry for the entire flight.”
Shahrukh Khan's trade secret!
Shahrukh Khan is a smart businessman. He is a frustrated sportsman as he says which he vents out in his movies. He is the most successful star in the Bollywood fraternity. He is living many lives kingsize. He is there everywhere promoting F1 races, golf, hockey, football, movies, cricket, endorsements..ahem! No wonder, he is the King Khan. Management gurus and financial magazines are stating that SRK is a fine businessman as well. But the King Khan begs to differ.
In a report to Times of India Shahrukh Khans states, “People only look at the successes that I have had and think I’m a skilled businessman. It’s all crap. I have faced a lot of failures. When I first started my production company, everyone wrote it off. When Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani was released, it was written off instantly, and I remember headlines that said ‘Dreams turn into nightmares’, ‘Dreams gone down in dumps’. And, I started an internet company that went into nothing, complete zilch..”
But Shahrukh Khan has always maintained that however down the pits he had been in business, he had never taken a loan. Taking a fig from his mother’s advice, SRK believes in “air utne phailao jitni chadar ha” As he says,” , whenever I have had the chadar fall short, I have tried to stretch it by working more, by dancing more, by doing whatever it takes — but making sure that whoever has done a job with me, gets value for money. I’m old fashioned when it comes to money. I don’t even take an advance for a film that I do. I don’t do a business if I can’t afford it. Even the IPL investment — I have only been able to do because of all the guys who have come aboard and put in money with me. Hopefully, I will not lose here.””
s.Shahrukh Khan is very middle class in his thoughts and outfits. The black suits that he wears are the same, only the ties keep changing. The designer clothes are courtesy his movies. SRK states the money that he has earned from Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain ? has been pooled into IPL. Same as the money he earned from Kaun Banega Crorepati has been pooled in Om Shanti Om. Money goes back to work, as he say

Why King Khan is KING KHAN! SRK loves to have them all
SRK’s popularity seems to be scaling new heights not just in Bollywood but in every arena where he makes his presence. SRK has always taken calculated risks and he is raring for more. Energy is his middle name and he is simply unstoppable. Unlike other stars who say that they are not bothered about number, SRK has stated that it feels good to be on top. He believes in being the best and not necessarily the first. He may not necessarily start a trend but he will do things his way. Shahrukh Khan likes to get back to people in his own inimitable style.
Politicians SRK was spurned by a section of politicians who stated that SRK should stop coming to watch cricket matches for advertising his movie. SRK felt hurt, but made the necessary changes. He bid and won the Kolkata team for the IPL cricket matches. Shahrukh made cricket his personal concern now and no one could stop him.
TZP trio: Darsheel Safary, Aamir Khan and Taare Zameen Par are the words frequently used this season. Aamir Khan suddenly loomed over SRK. Though both the Khans are friendly with each other, SRK wanted to make his presence felt among kids too. Hrithik is popular with kids (Kaho na pyaar Hai and Koi..Mil Gaya) and so is Aamir Khan (Taare Zameen Par)..C Shahrukh be left behind? No way, he wants to be there..up there! No prizes for guessing, SRK has come up with a quiz show for kids- Kya Aap Panchvi Pass se Tez Hain? and the most expensive movie for kids
Amitabh Bachchan-There were a lot of debates about who was the box office ruler Amitabh Bachchan or Shahrukh Khan. Both being diplomatic and politically correct acted with dignity. SRK has tremendous respect for the Big B and said both of them cannot be compared. But the titans clashed everytime and wherever they clashed, there was an explosion. SRK performed brilliantly with the Big B, especially in the confrontation scenes of Mohabbatein and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gam. Shahrukh Khan then did 3 things that Big B was known for-Don, Kaun Banega Crorepati and endorsements. SRK’s Don-The Chase Begins was technically slick and was a hit with the youngsters, which was exactly what he wanted.
Though most people said that SRK was no match for the chivalry and class which Big B had for Kaun Banega Crorepati, SRK fashioned KBC-3 in his own initimtable style. KBC-3 was more of a fun-show and had an air of informality that was trademark SRK. The result even KBC-3 was a success and the last episode featuring Katrina and Salman Khan had one of the maximum TRP ratings ever. SRK is now the highest earning ad-endorser. He has even taken over some of the ads which the Big B used to endorse.
Dilip Kumar: Early in his career, SRK was accused of copying Dilip Kumar. To clarify things, he did a movie that Dilip Kumar excelled in, Devdas . Critics and naysayrers said that SRK would never be a Dilip Kumar. SRK did not want be so anyway, he wanted to do the movie his way. The result Devdas was a huge hit and SRK won a lot of awards for his brilliant performance.
When King Khan lost...well, almost
Shahrukh Khan was on the verge of failure during the year 1999 and 2000. This period was his biggest dip in his career. Badshaah was the only hit of 1999 and later SRK faced a flop in the form of Heyy Ram. In the year 2000, the most expected movie Phir Bhi Dil Hain Hindustani took a severe beating at the box office. The movie was produced by SRK’s own production house, Dreamz Unlimited with Juhi Chawla. The company suffered financial losses and to add salt to the wounds, Hrithik Roshan emerged as the best thing to happen to Bollywood. His movie Kaho Na Pyaar Hai took off brilliantly and trade pundits forecasted the doom of Shahrukh Khan. But then as Shahrukh khan always has the last laugh, he resurfaced at the fag end of 2000 with Mohabbatein. It was the second biggest hit of the year after Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. Shahrukh Khan who has a fabulous relationship with Hrithik Roshan jokingly quoted in one of the Filmfare Awards show recently that Hrithik nearly brought him down at one time.
Shahrukh Khan going the Taare Zameen Par way, about to make the most expensive children's movie ever
Shahrukh Khan seems to be bitten by the Taare Zameen Par bug. Close on the heels of the success of Taare Zameen Par, Shahrukh Khan has announced his decision to make a movie on children. This will be reportedly the most expensive movie ever made on children. SRK made his announcement about making an adventure movie for kids with special effects that could cost his production company $ 25 million! Shahrukh Khan will also be acting in it.
SRK who has a penchant for fantasy movies, thrills and adventure is floating this movie that will actually be about a group of children who go on an adventure spree and then are faced by surprising turns of events that go against them. SRK is not leaving any stone unturned to make it as technically sound as Spiderman movies. The film will be directed by Anubhav Sinha, of Tum-Bin fame.
